The Cape Fear Gospel Rescue Mission was founded in 1974 in Wilmington, NC, as a non-denominational, Christ-centered ministry serving the local homeless population and their needs. Through our boots-on-the-ground approach, we’re humbled to be part of the fabric of the community we serve, weaving hope and healing in the lives of many.
As our 50th Anniversary nears, our grassroots organization has served scores of men with one mission at the heart of it… to serve the homeless, hungry, and hurting. Known locally as the Rescue Mission of Cape Fear, our facility can serve up to 18 men in our residential program located downtown at 502 Castle Street. The Rescue Mission offers physical and spiritual healing to folks experiencing homelessness in the area who come from so many different walks of life. We provide food, shelter, clothing, resources, fellowship, and encouragement to help them establish a plan for their next step in life.
