The Chatsworth Fire Department is an ISO class 3 department with one station staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by 12 career and 16 paid-on-call firefighters. The department operates three shifts, each staffed with a Captain, Driver and two Firefighters, the shifts are 24 hours each. The full-time employees staff a 2013 Ferrara Rescue Pumper that is equipped to deal with multiple types of emergencies including fires, medical emergencies, automobile accidents, hazardous materials incidents and technical rescues. The department also operates a second 2003 Ferrara Pumper, a 2013 Ferrara 100′ Ladder Truck and a mobile incident command unit. These apparatuses are staffed by paid on call employees. Administration includes the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief.
