Workforce boards, also known as workforce development boards or WDBs, are entities that operate in the United States and play a vital role in connecting job seekers with employers and supporting the workforce development system. Our goal is to promote and sustain a healthy economy and business growth in the region, by providing training for workers across all sectors, focusing on high-demand industries.
The NRWIB is part of a statewide network of 19 American Job Centers in Connecticut, delivering free employment services through 1-on-1 career counseling, career training and job placement assistance.
The American Job Center system is responsive to the needs of job-seekers and employers alike. By partnering with businesses, career training providers, local governments, and human services agencies, we provide valuable services to adults and youth. Our centers are conveniently located in Waterbury, Danbury and Torrington.
