The New Hartford Fire Department consists of two stations, six fire apparatus, and a group of dedicated firefighters. There are currently 65 members, but we are always looking for more!
We respond to all types of calls, including but not limited to; fires, motor vehicle accidents, smoke investigations, activated smoke detectors and CO alarms, trees across roads, downed power lines, water rescues, ice rescues, and so much more. The Department has also been certified to respond to medical calls as Supplemental First Responders. We respond along side New Hartford Volunteer Ambulance for medical calls that are serious of life threatening in nature within Fire District 1.
