The Chemical Abuse Services Agency, Inc. is a private, nonprofit community-based behavioral health organization.  Founded in 1987, the agency is now one of the leading multicultural behavioral health organizations in Connecticut. CASA was established in response to the need for behavioral health services to be available and accessible to Latinos, African-Americans and other ethnic groups, which have been traditionally underserved.

For more than 30 years, CASA has been providing unique residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment services to monolingual Spanish speaking clients in the state of Connecticut. In addition, CASA provides outpatient substance abuse treatment and prevention to critical populations in the inner cities of Bridgeport and New Haven.

The mission of Chemical Abuse Services Agency, Inc., better known as CASA, is to provide holistic and culturally competent community-based behavioral health services to individuals, families and communities seeking recovery from addiction, co-occurring disorders and related behavioral health issues. The organization utilizes recovery oriented approaches and evidence-based practices to develop services and operational strategies toward accomplishing this mission.
