SoCo Harm Reduction Association is a non-profit serving the underserved and those affected by substance abuse.
Created in 2017 in response to the opioid epidemic observed by medical professionals in the Emergency room as the community lost lives and lacked solutions. Research provided answers in countries that have tackled this issue and have changed the societal norms from isolation, criminalization, and judgment to understanding substance use as a healthcare issue and the meeting of basic needs is where the road to healing begins.
From a lens of humanity, we can help to break down the stigma that keeps people divided and bring awareness to the truth that ALL humans deserve the opportunity to heal, to be fed, to be housed, to be supported, and to reach their concept of health.
