We are an international non-governmental organization working in Uruguay since 1960 to guarantee the right of children and adolescents to family and community life, as established in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the United Nations Guidelines on Alternative Care for Children.
All of our services are provided in partnership with INAU and aim to protect children, adolescents, and young people, as well as strengthen the caregiving capacities of families and significant others, preventing the institutionalization of children and adolescents. When the loss of family care is inevitable, we develop multiple intervention and reparation strategies based on a rights-based, gender-based, and diversity approach, in collaboration with the participating children, adolescents, and young people.
