SOS Children’s villages pioneered a family approach for the long-term care of children who have lost parental support. This concept is based on four principles – the Mother, Brothers and Sisters, the House, and the Village.

SOS Children’s Villages Thailand or SOS Children Foundation (Registered name) was founded in November 1971. The organisation came under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen in 1976. We are a part of our umbrella organisation SOS Children’s Villages International, which is active in 134 countries.

SOS Children’s Villages help children who have lost the care of their parents. We believe that the family is the best environment for a child to grow. We help children to grow up in the most natural way possible and develop their individual skills, interests and talents. We guide them on their path from childhood to adulthood. We support these children to become independent, responsible and contributing members of society.
