Children Are Us Foundation was founded by a group of parents whose children have Intellectual development disorders. The core goals of the foundation are the care and education of persons with intellectual disabilities.
From being served to serving and from resource consumer to resource provider. Transforming those children’s lives and changing of their self image. The Children Are Us bakery and restaurant provide the children with a chance to create and serve products with the pride of knowing they have created something of value and beauty infused with their caring and soul.
The warm and independent image of “Children Are Us” has become a symbol for persons with intellectual disabilities in Taiwan. The Children Are Us bakery and restaurant have become the model of a successful social enterprise in Taiwan benefitting both the public and those that work there.
