Prevent, combat and determine the causes of fires to protect life, property and the environment. Our goal is to provide quality, cost-effective professional services based on the knowledge, skills and capabilities of our members.

Vision

The vision of the entity is to transform the Puerto Rico Fire Department into a rapid and effective response agency for all types of emergencies. Emergency response includes fires, explosions, earthquakes, floods, spills of hazardous materials, rescues, and medical emergencies. Our vision includes coverage by air, sea, and land; and the use of modern fire stations with radio communication, covering the entire Island.
