We now have scientific proof that people who adhere to antiretroviral therapy and reach an undetectable viral load cannot transmit the virus to their sexual partners — even when no condom is used. The U=U campaign is a health and human rights movement aimed at providing accurate and up-to-date information about HIV. Dr Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, calls the U=U campaign “the foundation of being able to end the epidemic.”
