Brightside drug abuse rehabilitation and treatment (DART) centre is a duo diagnoses health facility for detoxification, treatment and rehabilitation of victims of alcohol and other substances of abuse/addiction, including any associated behavioral or psychological disorders, in a residential setting.
The centre employs the concept/philosophy of a therapeutic community (T.C) : A structured family environment, whereby positive peer/ therapist interaction and discipline are practiced.
The therapeutic tools employed include, interpersonal and group psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavior modification and the 12 (modified to 9) steps to sobriety.
