Apne Aap Women’s Collective (AAWC) serves the women and children of Mumbai’s Kamathipura area, one of the largest and oldest red light areas in Asia.
Our Vision
To provide the tools and resources for empowerment to trafficked brothel-based prostitutes and their daughters in Mumbai’s Red Light District, and to prevent the cycle of intergenerational prostitution.
Our Mission
To provide a caring and supportive platform of wholesome services to help women and girls in the Red Light Area make choices for a dignified and better quality life.
