Delhi Bible Fellowship was started with nine people in the year 1968 as a house church. TEAM missionary Murry Carter desired to plant a Bible believing church in Delhi which could be a potential home church for the people living in the city, and also be a unifying influence for a number of evangelical organizations operating without strong local church support. DBF’s first English service was held in Pastor Carter’s living room in Nizamuddin, on the second Sunday of December 1968.
DBF Central was planted in the mid 70s. After much prayer and seeking, God blessed DBF Central with its current building on Bhai Veer Singh Marg. The building work was completed in 1995. God has been using this space for almost thirty years to bring his gospel for the flourishing of the city. DBF Central as a cluster comprises of three congregations—Central English main and Satsang meet at the Central building and a new English congregation meets in Greater Noida.
