While the country has made efforts to gradually adjust and harmonize its legal framework with international conventions and protocols on children, challenges remain in promoting and fulfilling children’s rights. This context of vulnerability puts children at risk of losing family care, and others with this background have already lost it.
In light of this situation, SOS Children’s Villages presents itself as an alternative for child care and attention, with the goal of guaranteeing children’s right to live in a family.
Every child should grow up in a loving and protective environment where they feel supported, protected, cared for, and where their full developmental potential is fostered. Based on this shared responsibility, we have an organizational structure that bases its work on policies and standards to provide quality care to children during their stay at the Children’s Village and after their discharge.
