Yezelalem Minch Children and Community Development is a local, non-profit, non-governmental organization that seeks to provide comprehensive care for orphaned and vulnerable children, along with community capacity enhancement so as to minimize the vulnerability of orphaned children.

Yezelalem Minch currently operates in three sub cities of Addis Ababa, as well as in four branch offices located in suburb towns in the surrounding Oromia region – Sebeta, Alem Gena, Holeta, and Menagesha. Yezelalem Minch has reached over 1,800 children, including those who have graduated or moved out of the program. 1,300 children are active in the Yezelalem Minch program currently.

Our mission is to see that all orphaned and vulnerable children are cared for – becoming healthy, educated, emotionally stable, productive and valuable citizens to their country, and growing to serve their community.

Yezelalem Minch is committed to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children by providing integrated health, education and psychosocial support working in partnership with community based, governmental and non-governmental organizations in Addis Ababa, Oromia, Amhara, and other regions.
