The National Children’s Trust is the leading institution in the field of the rights of children and adolescents. It was created on August 15, 1930 at the initiative of Professor Luis Felipe González Flores.
Its creation is defined in article 55 of the 1949 Political Constitution, which indicates that “The special protection of the mother and the minor will be in charge of an autonomous Institution called the National Children’s Board, with the collaboration of other State institutions”.
