While some decide to approach sustainable fashion from the resources they use to make their garments, at Galpón de Ropa we turn it around and decide to focus on finding a new habitat for the hundreds of thousands of garments that people decide to discard. And so, we found a new way to tackle the problem of disused clothing.
In the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires alone, more than 4,500 tons of textile waste are generated per month and at Clothing Warehouse we believe that good quality garments can be used for a longer time, which is why we set out to lead the reuse movement of clothing. With this objective, in the last year we have re-entered the market with more than 210,000 garments and donated more than 36,000 garments to different foundations.
