The Salvation Army has been working socially in Argentina for 129 years, always with the intention of reaching people by offering them concrete solutions, assisting those who are in an unfavorable situation, promoting solidarity and transmitting a message of love.
It develops a large number of community and prevention programs, such as: accompaniment of homeless people with food, plus the search through homes and shelters for their social and family reintegration; the stimulation of the learning of values in children and adolescents; covering the rooms needs of the main cities of Argentina with student and worker residences; supporting awareness campaigns on human trafficking, gender violence and social justice.
Most of these programs are interconnected, which enhances their operation and results. For the support of its work, the Salvation Army receives all kinds of donations: clothing, furniture, footwear, appliances and all kinds of objects that still serve another person. These items are then sold in Charity Sales Stores distributed in the most important cities in Argentina.
