Anglicare Homelessness Services aims to address the housing and support needs of people experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness in Cairns.
Offering easy access to a diverse range of services, the service aids clients directly and through referrals to other services. With a specific focus on supporting individuals facing difficulties in accessing homelessness services, including those who may be sleeping rough and those with complex needs, the Hub ensures improved access to housing and support services in Cairns. As a result, people experiencing homelessness benefit from coordinated service delivery which provides easy access to information, referral and advocacy to meet their needs, as well as assistance with referral to housing and accommodation options and assistance with crisis resolution.
The service provides an accessible entry point to the broader service system, for people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless and achieves this through case management, administering brokerage funds, and fostering collaborative service delivery and partnerships with a range of housing and support providers.
