Founded in 1983, Lowcountry Food Bank strives to fulfill our mission to unite our community in pursuit of equitable, dignified, and consistent access to food throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina. We are headquartered in Charleston with a Southern Regional Distribution Center in Yemassee and a Northern Regional Distribution Center in Myrtle Beach.
Lowcountry Food Bank serves more than 200,000 people who experience food insecurity every year through our solid relationships with 230+ partner agencies – a network of food pantries, on-site meal programs, school programs, senior programs, veterans’ groups, and shelters. Our dedicated staff works to equitably distribute food across the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina we serve. We provide our partners with fresh fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable food, equipment, nutrition materials, and food safety training.
