In 1983, six visionary women from Rhode Island’s East Bay embarked on a mission. They envisioned a better quality of life for their neighbors and founded Tap-In. What started as a hub for referrals and information blossomed into a haven offering food, clothes, furniture, transport, and much more.
Our Mission
At the heart of our efforts lies a simple yet profound goal – to enhance the lives of East Bay residents by offering resources that combat food insecurity and economic challenges.
Incredible as it might sound, Tap-In is entirely volunteer-driven. A passionate team of 130 locals powers us, and we are wholly funded by generous donations and grants from our community members, businesses, schools, worship places, and other civic entities.
