OhioMeansJobs Stark and Tuscarawas Counties is northeastern Ohio’s premier workforce development and training centers that connects job seekers with employers by providing numerous resources in a single location. It is a free service made possible through funds provided by the U.S. Department of Labor through the Stark Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board and operated locally by the Workforce Initiative Association, a regional council of governments created by the Stark and Tuscarawas County Commissioners and the Mayor of the City of Canton.
The mission of the Stark Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board is to assist area businesses in meeting their workforce needs by coordinating the workforce development activities of the numerous employment, education, and economic development entities in the region. It is their vision that by doing so, they will ultimately play a significant role in supporting the economic prosperity of our communities and their citizens.
OhioMeansJobs Stark and Tuscarawas Counties support the mission of the Stark Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board to build and strengthen talent in Stark and Tuscarawas Counties. The OhioMeansJobs Stark and Tuscarawas County Centers provide a common point of access to all workforce-focused partner programs, including desired employment, education, and training information and activities for both employers and job seekers. The OhioMeansJobs local system serves as a consolidated resource for all employers and job seeker customers.
