The Conover Fire Department has been a cornerstone of safety in our community since 1942. Our mission is clear: to keep the residents, businesses, and visitors of Conover and its surrounding areas safe from fire hazards.
Covering 17 square miles, including six major highways and a railway, our department operates three strategically located fire stations. With a team of 21 full-time members and support from 25 part-time firefighters, we ensure round-the-clock coverage throughout the year.
Handling approximately 2,500 service requests annually, our services include fire suppression, technical rescue operations, fire prevention, public education, emergency medical services, and hazardous materials response. Through mutual aid agreements with neighboring communities, we bolster our response capabilities to provide seamless assistance when needed.
