The Fayetteville Fire Department (FFD) is a diverse organization that offers a wide range of services to the community served. The department’s primary function is to provide fire protection to the citizens of the City of Fayetteville (COF). This is accomplished with a staff of over three hundred personnel, seventeen fire stations, and a vehicle fleet that is equipped with a large cadre of specialized equipment including hazardous materials and urban search and rescue (USAR).
Personnel train on a daily basis to ensure that adequate skill levels are maintained to effectively carry out the duties that pertain to response requirements. Training allows the personnel of the department to maintain an elevated level of safety and awareness that protects not only the public, but also the firefighters.
