The Legal Project is an Albany based non-profit organization that provides free civil legal assistance to people who do not have the ability to hire an attorney. We believe all people deserve access to justice and expert legal assistance, which should not be based on a person’s ability to pay.
We assist victims of domestic violence, crime, and human trafficking; homeowners facing foreclosure and bankruptcy; immigrants; small business owners, veterans, the elderly, and other vulnerable members of our local community across the Capital Region. They are our friends, family, and neighbors who need our help.
