Northwest Missouri United Labor Community Services Agency, dba AFL-CIO Community Services Agency, has taken an active role in serving the greater St. Joseph community for nearly 40 years. Its mission is simple – to help people. Through its various community service projects, with support of the United Way and the greater St Joseph Missouri community, it has been able to accomplish that goal.
The agency has four core programs that have helped underprivileged local residents get the support they need – Help Me Hotline Information and Referral service, Adopt-A-Family Christmas program, Fab-U-Less Finds thrift store, and Soles for Christ Shoe program. It has furthered its offerings to the community by sponsoring additional programs, such as Lions Club Eyeglasses, Diaper Depot, and Seasonal Services.
