The Willimantic Police Department was established in 1893 and currently consists of 42 sworn officers with headquarters at the Public Safety Complex. The department is led by Chief Paul M. Hussey and is a full service law enforcement agency, providing 24-hour service and protection to our community and its residents.

The Willimantic Police Department will provide the community with the highest quality of law enforcement services. The mission is to prevent crime, preserve order, and to protect the rights, lives, and property of the citizens of Willimantic, Connecticut. These services will be efficient and effectively rendered with the most effective expenditure of available resources, and delivered courteously and professionally.
