St John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong, stands in the heart of the city’s financial downtown district. Deeply rooted in the traditions of Anglicanism and yet at the same time exercising ministries which reach out into the wider life of the community, the Cathedral is a much used and much loved building.
Looking in through the great West Door, the eye of the visitor is drawn to the East window and its depiction of the crucifixion of Christ. There, in stained glass, the gospel is proclaimed and the arms of Jesus are seen outstretched in welcome and blessing.
St John’s Cathedral is a place of God’s grace, welcoming all, following Christ and changing lives in the heart of Hong Kong.
